Pros

Flat management structure, great people, an openness to new ideas and ways of doing things, relaxed working environment, high-tech IT systems, paperless, exposure to US market via US office (and possibility to work in San Diego), exposure to DE litigation market through Dusseldorf office (and opportunities to work there too), young & dynamic, approachable & friendly, modern offices, talented paralegal & support staff, internal video-conferencing & IM, in-house search & litigation departments (good for skill acquisition), lots of direct client work, good bonus structure.

Cons

Can be busy at times, responsibilities are given early, cannot rest on laurels, high standards, need high IT proficiency, long hours sometimes required, many new faces to learn and meet due to rapid growth.

Pros

Most of my colleagues are fantastic lovely people. I enjoyed working with them.

Cons

They care for money over employees. The top management doesn't have the skills to manage staff. The Decision-making process was very unclear and there was no set standard. As you can imagine, it was not easy to work under such management. It may be an okay place to work for very junior levels for 6 months, but after that, there is not much to learn from them. No wonder the staff turnover is so high.

You're fired!

Pros

Hybrid working available for some.

Cons

There is a running joke at eip - "You're fired!" So many people are fired without warning that it has become a running joke. Eip is such a well know poor employer in IP that they are unable to hire anyone experienced in the industry. New hires are usually young and inexperienced so don't know any better. If you go to an interview ask about their staff turnover, you will be shocked.
