During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in NY, the bosses showed their true colors. The week before the lockdown officially started everyone was nervous and began to alternate their schedules to avoid everyone being at work on the same days. After three weeks on lockdown, the bosses began to question people as to when they planned on coming to work. Throughout almost the entire lockdown he was furloughing and firing people who refused to risk their lives by coming into work. The bosses will say that it was because of "lack of work and money" but we all knew that that wasn't the case. About three weeks before the government officials gave the okay to return to work Manoj would constantly mention that "I see construction workers working and I see the people at Chipotle working!" You cant make burrito bowls or build a building via email Manoj. He managed to get a small number of people to come into work during the entire lockdown by holding their visa sponsorship their heads like a carrot. He was more concerned about paying rent for a humungous office no one was coming rather than the safety of his employees. Advice to management: Pointless to give you advice because it will go in one ear and out the other. You two feel as if you are God's gift to earth and you are all-knowing. You both are a lost cause along with your company.

Pros

Due to the high employee turnover you will learn a lot bc you will be expected to take over all of their responsibilities (don’t expect training or compensation). You will feel validated when other industry people say something like, "Omg, I can't believe you worked for envogue I heard it was horrible!" You will forever make sure to read the glassdoor reviews before getting a new job Bagels that taste like they came from a vending machine on Fridays Getting to read these funny reviews. The nice ones are fake, for sure. getting to share my experience. hopefully you read this review and go with a different company, anywhere but envogue.

Cons

Expected to do an unattainable amount of work and stay late to finish it all Expected to take over other people's jobs when they get fired with no training, or compensation. They hire a lot of people that need green cards and many openly share that they think owners use this as leverage to overwork them cameras all over the office to monitor employees frowned upon to have conversations with other employees that are not about work you wont make any friends if you work on design side everyone is so overworked ur lucky if someone says hello in the morning you have to take lunch for exactly 1 hr at 12-1 pm every day like a child You have to sign your name on a piece of paper if you are 15 mins late starting work at 8:30 am is very early for a commuter owner monitors slack conversations if there is a safety issue or storm, company email for commuters to go home goes out last minute or not at all the worst covid handling- be prepared to come in asap even if nyc shuts down again or a new variant pops up no remote options no summer friday
