Pros

- the diversity is great - lots of snacks and events

Cons

- theres a lot of cliques and a lot of favoritism - dont expect to level up unless you're someones favorite - the CEO's don't know anything about engineering and wont listen to the engineers that know best - no work life balance - they favor new hires over current employees with titles and higher pay - longevity at the company is not rewarded or noticed.

Pros

The company is a great place to work. It truly values diversity and shows strong support for its international employees. The CEOs are very approachable and consistently go above and beyond to support both the company’s growth and the well-being of employees. The company makes a real effort to support international employees, whether it’s through H-1B sponsorship or ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed. Being a smaller company, there’s a more personal environment as people know each other by name and leadership is genuinely helpful and caring. The work culture is positive and collaborative and the vision team’s lead is especially supportive and technically excellent. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work here.

Cons

Nothing that I have come across so far

Pros

-very interesting technical problems -individual contributors overall are really great to work with. generally good people who are also smart, motivated, and hardworking. -lots of ownership over your work. in true startup fashion, if you think something should happen (technical, company, or otherwise), you have more power here than at bigger companies to enact change -direct access to upper management and the founders is easy. I know of several instances where feedback I or someone else has given has been heard and acted on.

Cons

-as the company grows, communication has suffered. leadership has recognized this problem and has taken visible steps to address it, but still a ways to go -there is far more intense scrutiny on IC work by higher level leadership than I've seen at other companies. I attribute this to the company being relatively small with only one product to focus on. -I know of instances where I or others did not feel comfortable giving feedback to leadership -lots of churn and stress to try to hit short term goals at the expense of having an extended vision (and therefore time) to hit long term goals
