Cons
extremely poor management
- eternal protection of directors, even if they make the worst ever failures like not being able to hold the project together
- regular coworkers pay the price of leaders' mistakes instead. The lower your position is - the more insecure you are in 11bit
Project 8 had problems for many years, yet studio ignored them, as well as ignored warnings from the team and always kept all the decisions making to themselves, without consulting with the team. The project expectedly fell apart. The studio layed off 1/4 of the team one year ago, and a half of the team this year, including expats whom studio hired to the sinking ship and brought to Poland, and whose stay in Poland is fully connected to the job. They didn't even give people the opportunity to join other projects at 11bit, even though some layed-off people had offers from directors of other teams inside the studio, and some even already worked on other projects and recommended themselves well in those teams. Most of the actual decision makers instead kept their working places inside 11bit. The team basically fully payed the price for board's and directors' mistakes, even though many workers tried to reason with them many times, pointing out to the core project problems and offering solutions.
Even though overall working atmosphere at the studio felt nice, I cannot recommend 11bit due to such a poor and disrespectful management
