Pros

+ Support and Leadership: The founders, coaches, and clinicians are knowledgeable and supportive. The leadership values employee feedback and tries to make changes based on it. + Work-Life Balance and Flexibility: Best work-life balance I’ve ever had in this field. The scheduling flexibility allows for personal and professional balance. + Small Caseload and Minimal Admin Work: A small caseload and fewer admin tasks makes the work more meaningful and less overwhelming. Also, not having supervisees allows space to focus on clinical work. + Ongoing Learning and Growth: In-home CEUs and access to collaborating with experienced coworkers and coaches provide continuous learning opportunities. After past experiences with both small and large companies that left me feeling burnt out and wary, this company restored my love for the field.

Cons

- Potential for Fluctuating Hours: If clients go on extended vacations or there’s a transition between cases, there can be a significant decrease in hours and a need to plan for financial uncertainty. - Physical and Mental Demand of Direct Sessions: While the work is fulfilling, providing direct sessions can be physically and mentally draining. Balancing this with indirect work can sometimes be challenging.

Pros

-Support from leadership -Team building My time at 2020 was short, but that was primarily due to barriers outside of work that required me to make adjustments. One of those outside barriers came within the first month or so working there, yet the leadership team really did all they could to support me. It truly meant a lot in a time that was very challenging. Their clinical feedback was presented in a way that was constructive, positively guiding me towards becoming a stronger BCBA.

Cons

-Hourly pay, so the inherent fluctuation with pay based on client/BCBA cancellations. They are very transparent about the pay structure in their job postings, and cancellations are of course not uncommon in our field. -Communication (a minor con). Overall, communicating with the team was very easy and transparent. There was one minor issue with not informing me promptly regarding an internal matter, but I don’t feel that’s worthy of knocking off a star. It was a completely unusual situation that required adjustments throughout my time there, so I understand why some things can be missed.
