Overall no negatives come to mind

I've loved the people I've worked with. They have great management, great team leads, great colleagues. Everyone is very personable. Leadership focuses on personal development. There's a drive to succeed, with care and consideration not to overwork you. Also, there's been a fantastic transition to working from home. The management trusts us, and continues to allow us that freedom, even as things start opening up. The health insurance, despite being expensive ($450 a month for family), is the best I've seen EVER ($250/$500 deductible with 100% coverage in-network after).

In the USA, there is no paternity leave (outside USA, it is standard) Human Resources are Canadian, with no reps specifically for the USA. It can make support/benefits challenging at times. Due to several mergers and acquisitions, a lot of jobs are being moved overseas. When people leave Grand Rapids, they aren't replaced local. There's also been a tightening of budgets, that's been felt all around; partly due to the pandemic, partly due to mergers, acquisitions, and changing owners.
