Pros
This is a good place to start your career. You’ll learn lots of things about marketing that they never teach you in school like SEO, lead generation, email marketing, and more. You will do actual work for real clients almost immediately. The benefits are good. I read a previous review and I have no idea why they would say they aren’t optimal. The company pays 80% of your insurance premium. You get 12 weeks paid maternity or paternity leave. The company has a generous PTO policy and you get bank holidays off plus the week between Xmas and NYE off and you get a stipend for learning. You can also work remotely or from home as much as you want. The office itself is dog friendly. The majority of the client work is focused on the Apartment industry. I’m not sure if that’s a pro or a con but I wanted to make sure to include it. You’ll work with some amazing people. The owner is approachable and open to feedback. That’s not to say he will take action on your suggestions (after all it’s his company) but at the end of the day, to have access to an owner who is open and will listen is definitely a pro. He is genuinely a nice person who cares.
Cons
You’ll do a lot of work for the the apartment industry. Sometimes it all just blurs together. It’s not an exciting industry but there is tons of opportunities. The pace is super fast in some departments and super slow in others. Everyone is pretty early in their careers here so there isn’t a lot of mentorship. We’re all just figuring it out together. Pay increases and reviews do happen. They’re just painfully slow.
