Pros
Being quickly thrust into such a variable position (sometimes janitor, sometimes salesman, etc) is very challenging and a great way to develop work ethic if you've never had a job before. Makes most future jobs seem easy.
Cons
Often times shifts are inconsistent and not well-planned, resulting in one employee essentially running the store alone for hours at a time because of a scheduling error. Working in a 24/7 convenience store, you are essentially the biggest target in the neighborhood for vandalism and robberies.
