Pros

You get to make your own schedule, working part-time or full-time hours. I actually really enjoyed meeting all the different customers. You don't put any miles on your car because you are driving someone else's vehicle. You don't incur any out of pocket costs for gas or insurance. And you are also paid on time. This job is best if you are in transition and desparate for something, because they literally hire anyone.

Cons

I'm not sure where to begin because there are so many. First of all, the hours are not ideal. You are only given two options and that is working AM (4:45-5::15am-12:45-1:15PM) and evening shift, which his basically 4PM-Midnight. There is absolutely no flexibility on this. A lot of the cars are absolutely filthy. They are supposed to vacuum the vehicles each day, but they barely do. A lot of people eat in the cars, and there's all sorts of crud on the steering wheels and in the crevices of the consoles. They barely keep cleaning supplies stocked. You do not get to pick your vehicle. And often, there are people who smoke and drink in the vehicles, which is supposed to be a no-go, but clearly it's getting overlooked. Management is notified, but doesn't address it. The pay is very low. You are supposed to get paid tips. But you cannot control the amount of tips you get week to week, causing a lot of instability. The bonuses the company offers are based upon how many trips you take past 14. If you make it past 14 trips, then they will grace you with $5 bonuses (yes you read that correctly) They take out a ton of taxes. So any tips you make are null in void, because the taxes automatically reduce your check to nothing. They have ridiculous driving quotas. They want you to do 14 trips a day. If you don't make the quota, they threaten to terminate your position, even when they know it's a slow season. Cearly the morning shift is going to produce different results than the evening, but they haven't seemed to figure that out yet. Management has a bit of attitude, and the supervisors and very yougn and inexperienced. They are significantly understaffed on the management side, but keep hiring loads of drivers (because of high turnover), thus causing a chaotic environment and disorganization. The supervisors seem to not really take pride in what they're doing. I didn't discover until months later that they were supposed to be directing us to where hotspots were, if we weren't getting rides. Only ONE supervisor has ever done this, the entire 6 months of me working there. Yet, they are pressing us about getting rides. How are we to get rides when the supervisors aren't doing their jobs to direct them to get them??? They have bad communication. Many drivers complain about emails going unanswered, including myself. Human resources rarely responds to things that are important such as wrong pay, and inaccurate sick leave. Their benefits package is not good. You get very low sick leave hours and paid time off. At the 6 month mark, I had only accrued 24 hours sick leave (3 days) and 18 hours paid time off (2 days). This was after working full-time, 40 hours a week, 5 days a week. When it came time to use them, they did not give the correct pay which I had accrued, and I have reported them to the DOL. When brought to the human resources attention, they conveniently ignore the emails. Often, the cars are out of order, and you will be sent home if they do not have a vehicle for you to drive. Lastly, a lot of the cars are dented and have check engine lights; they will encourage you to drive them. If you get a flat tire, they want you to try to fix it.

Pros

I've had a blast with my passengers but this has nothing to do with the job. It's just me being social.

Cons

Everything about this god forsaken company is horrible! From high demand to low payment, to conditional bonuses and compensations!
