Pros
For the most part, my peers and colleagues were a very good group of people. Occasionally, I'd come across a manager who cared about career growth and development.
Cons
Women are discriminated against. My male counterparts on my team were challenged and promoted whereas I had to fight, claw and scrap. Literally begged my former boss for not only more training but also more challenging responsibilities. HR was contacted numerous times, but to no avail. Once HR was consolidated into a Shared Service Center, it all went downhill. Managers can basically run amuck. A high degree of favoritism, almost to the point of a high school like atmosphere. I put 7 years in to this company and had fully expected to grow my career, and eventually retire from ABB, only to be let go. No work life balance exists, even though this company has the resources to allow its employees to work remotely with ease. Overall, I am hugely disappointed with the last 5 years of my time there.
