Pros

Fair pay for their employees

Cons

I worked at this company for 7 months, and it was the worst professional experience I have ever had. Perhaps it was my manager, but I would often find out I was leading presentations minutes before meetings and the work load went from searching for something to do, to absolute unmanageable overload. The role had been backfilled three times in 18 months, that should have been my warning. The culture was non existent and stiff, imagine an office from the 90's. I had often heard about roles and companies that played with employees mental health, and this was the one for me. I had always considered myself hard working and strategic minded, but this was an impossible circumstance that expected a manager level job to perform what a contactor would be paid £500+ a day to do. The red tape and infrastructure was not there for the requirements of the job, and this was your fault from day one. I may sound like a disgruntled employee, but I left this job over two years ago, and have been very happy In my current job, but often think and my experience here and wish to warn those in Marketing about it. It's the only time in my life I have closed my laptop mid day and said 'enough is enough', and walked away without another job lined up.

Pros

-Team members/coworkers are nice. Everyone is helpful and able to pivot quickly when given new tasks. -Unlimited PTO -hybrid work schedule

Cons

-Extreme micromanagement: Upper management wants to know what you’re doing at all times when they don’t even understand the roles and their own teams or work streams. -EVERYTHING is reactive. Polls/surveys? Change everything according to the results. C-Suite member has a PERSONAL opinion or complaint about something ? Drop everything to handle that. -Strategy is non existent. We are not working toward any specific goal, just responding to random requests everyday all day. - Management will ask your opinion and ask that you come up with a strategy and then do the total opposite of what you suggested or give so much unnecessary pushback that you don’t even care to continue with the project. -There are no project outlines, so you never know the why behind projects or what the outcome should be. Nothing is ever in place. Someone has an idea (C-Suite) and then people just scramble to get it done as quickly as possible. -Upper management clearly doesn’t read emails because they’ll ask you the same question 5 different times when they’re on the email thread.
