limited progression as they rarely value people's experiences, encouraging tall poppy syndrome. some managers and senior staff tend to micromanage and have a "stay in your lane" attitude. job titles are not necessarily reflective of the work being done. senior people tend to not leave the organisation which creates little to no opportunities for junior staff to progress
