Pros

Company vehicle is provided for some field based employees.

Cons

Reviews of AFL from office-based employees seem neutral to positive; however, field-based employees are recruited based on inaccurate job ads. Watch out for the bait and switch! The travel 100%, Saturday work is mandatory, and the job classifications are unethical at best. Very little PTO, and terrible benefit coverage. AFL doesn't appear to share the cost of health insurance with employees. The per paycheck premiums are extremely high for the coverage. AFL doesn't contribute to H.S.A. They provide very few company paid benefits. The company provided life insurance is pathetic (a flat amount, not equivalent to annual base pay) and the supplemental life is expensive. Onboarding processes are broken. Severe lack of organization within management. No support or reliable point of contact for new employees. Field employees are scheduled to be onsite but aren't provided the scope of work to be completed, what's been accomplished, outstanding issues, clear location information etc.

Pros

Great resources available for Self-Development Self-Development and career progression strongly encouraged and supported Management is approachable and open to feedback EXCELLENT health benefits/EAP

Cons

Long commute for me, but worth it Quickly changing industry, so AFL makes changes to stay up on current customer demands - not a negative con, just something to keep up with
