Pros

There are friendly people at peer level, and for someone very early in their career, it does offer exposure to basic recruitment tools and a fast-paced sales environment. You will learn how to operate on LinkedIn and get a feel for volume outreach.

Cons

The business suffers from extremely high staff turnover and a clear lack of stability. Leadership does not demonstrate strong hands-on recruitment experience, especially the current MD, who's barely dipped his toes in recruitment, which results in poor direction, shifting priorities, and confusion across teams. The culture feels highly political, with a strong emphasis on pleasing management rather than delivering quality work or encouraging professional challenge. Market-facing practices are particularly damaging: outreach is generic and impersonal, LinkedIn profiles and accounts are recycled between employees, and candidates or clients rarely know who they are truly speaking to. This significantly undermines trust and credibility. Overall, the company lacks identity, cohesion, and a clear long-term vision, making it difficult to see a sustainable career path.
