Pros

- Barely competitive salary structure. That's it.

Cons

- Very bad appraisals, appraisal percentages don't exceed single digit ever for CT-PD team. - Very incompetent management, managers will make your blood boil with their incompetence, with the onset of AI, these managers have started using it as a crutch for filling their knowledge gaps. It is very infuriating when such managers just copy paste an answer from AI for your technical doubts, these people don't have a brain of their own to use. - Utterly intolerable work life balance, management has openly declared that work life balance doesn't exist at all and is a myth, half of the team is in US time zone and following the Indian mentality of slavery, no manager has the guts to question anybody from the US team just end up being sycophants, so you as an engineer are forced to work in your local hours as well as US hours, so you can expect working all round the clock with no regards to your relaxation time. - I am not aware of culture at other teams at AMD, but I will surely not wish my worst enemy to work in the CT-PD team.

Pros

Inspirational that it came back to power .

Cons

Mid-level management is very bad. Lot of PMTS roles. Of which majority lack technical knowledge. They are just talking talking with zero technical contribution and wasting time for other employees. Cut down the meetings too. Random call requests from Mid-Level managers who are PMTS, SMTS via IMs and they tend to run for longer duration with less to no technical discussion
