Pros
The other CC’s are supportive.
Cons
I have a long list… - Everyone from The House Manager to CC’s are overworked and underpaid. - Staff support is non existent, everybody is burnt out. The job promotes you to take off for your mental health, but has outrageous policies that don’t support it. -This place is unethical. The house manager and residential supervisor utilize policy for their advantage. Ex. There is only 1 CC that is schedule to work overnight. There is suppose to be 2 people working at all times. If any emergency happens overnight, the 1 CC is responsible for the residents safety. If by any chance there are 2 CC’s working overnight and you are having a family emergency. A CC is only allowed to call out if you find someone to pick up your shift and if you have PTO time. The problem with that is that all the full time employees work everyday so no one is going to pick up extra shifts, part time/PRN staff do not have benefits so if they call out they are automatically subjected to verbal warnings. -if you are applying for full time position, your not guaranteed to get 40hrs/week. If CC’s are making between $19-$23 and you are depending on this job to support your household, sorry ! - HR is non existent. If you are having concerns with employment, and you reach out, they do not respond to you in a timely manner. So if you have a concern, you can’t rely on HR to support you.
