Pros

-Great team of therapists, techs, and nursing staff at the Rehabilitation hospital -Newer facility and equipment (courtesy of partnership with RIC) -Great patient population to work it

Cons

-No CEU money and if you attend continuing ed courses during the week or your scheduled time to work it comes out of your PTO (and sometimes is difficult to have the time off approved for CEUs, even though we need it to maintain licensure) -Difficult to have time off approved (especially during the summer and holidays, however management takes ample time off during both times of the year) -Staff feels under appreciated, very low morale. Luckily, the cohesiveness of the team is what keeps everything running smoothly in rehab -Benefits and pay are under market value, not competitive with other hospital systems in Chicago area -Raises are not performance based nor are they on par with increases in standard of living -You do not feel like a valued employee, management is only focused on productivity and "quantity vs quality" when it comes to patient care -Poor working conditions and staff to patient ratio -Very high turnover rate Management is well aware of staff grievances and staff feeling overworked, however has not made much effort to improve things. Although they are still pushing for "patient satisfaction".

Pros

Nice small neighborhood hospital with many big hospital finds

Cons

When Amita health took them over, that's when it went down the tubes but now that this relationship is broken up, they are back on top especially having U of Chicago behind them
