Pros

Work from home, work on your own, little interference / micromanaging from managers. PTO (at least it is not below the average)

Cons

Very low pay, $ 22 / h or less: With no raises until the last 2 years: measly 2% last year for 90 % + on annual performance and 2 - 4 % for 90 - 100 % this year. Not even sure if they will continue moving forward. The raise amounts to literally dozens of CENTS more per hour, not even a $. It is mind boggling to read other interpreters' reviews stating that it is well paid ??? Maybe when you were making $ 12 / h before in some over jobs it seems to be well paid for you but it is way below national average. If you work in Mexico or Costa Rica and you are paid well there then please make it clear, not to confuse. Yes, it pays a few $ more than other interpreting companies (outside of contracting) but only because the interpreting industry is a sweatshop with the salaries hovering around the minimum wage. As dead end as it gets: No room to grow or advance in your career. The longer you stay, the less marketable you are to get another job in another industry since none of the skills here are really transferable. I think it is the reason why a lot of interpreters stay here - they feel stuck with no transferable skills to get a better job outside of the interpreting industry, which is an extremely dead end. So sad but true. The Interpreter Appreciation Day " gift" is some cheap $ 3.99 junk: water bottle, lunch bag and such. It is literally a joke. It would be much better to give us $ 10 Amazon gift card, however sad it is. No bonuses, no profit sharing despite the company's soaring profits. Nimdzi Interpreting Index ( Industry Report) for mid 2023 Revenue Rank for 2022 in million (Industry Report) for mid 2023): 1) Language Line: 778 2) Sorenson (ASL): 453 3) AMN: 212 4) Cyracom: 172 Quantity Monitoring can be outrageous. Such a low pay but such high unrealistic and at times oppressive and even insulting expectations ( need to look straight into camera, yet need to take notes at the same time, must be exactly centered, even saying “all right” was held against me as sounding too casual !!! )

The biggest opportunity lies in simplifying how work gets done and ensuring consistent experiences across teams.

Cons

That said, like many large and evolving organizations, there can be challenges around alignment, prioritization, and navigating complexity across teams. The experience can vary significantly depending on your role, leader, and part of the business. Organizational complexity — Navigating systems, processes, and cross-functional work can sometimes feel heavy or unclear Inconsistent experiences across teams — Culture and execution can vary depending on leadership and business unit
