The politics. People do the wrong thing for the company just to show face and say the right thing to gain favour with senior management. Horrific lack of experience by many in very senior positions. Far too much dependency on external and contractor help who are just takings massive amounts of money and knowledge away with them. You’re hired for your skills and experience yet micromanaged and overruled by managers and senior people who have no clue. Forget any hopes of progression if you aren’t in the boys club or Danish.
