Pros
Appsfactory has given me the opportunity to come to Germany and becoming part of a great team, learning new technologies and meeting amazing people. It is actually the best company I have ever worked for. If you come with a good attitude towards learning, and try to integrate yourself within the team, you will create a strong bond with the people here. The vibes inside the company are very good, in part thanks to the efforts in organizing barbecues, parties, etc. from time to time (something I have really missed in these pandemic times...), but also thanks to the multicultural team.
Cons
But the company is not perfect. Even though -and I'm just talking about my department-, I consider the technologies used and guidelines are good (and they are doing a good job constantly improving them), I have the feeling that the overall experience depends on the project you happen to be. In my personal experience, I cannot be more satisfied with the projects I have worked in. But I know this is not always the case. Also, although the company's official language is English, in some teams it might happen that you don't feel really a part of the team because the integrants speak in German most of the time. I know the company is trying to correct this, but more work needs to be done in this aspect, particularly on the Project Manager's side, they should lead by example. This can become a problem if you're new to the country and to the language, and you see that your team discusses everything in German and only talk to you in English. This can stop people from integrating within the company and my feeling is that Appsfactory should pay more attention to these details to keep the newcomers happy. Last but not least, IMO the response of the company towards the pandemic (regarding the personnel) hasn't been the best: they should've listened more to the employees's wishes, and the communication should've been better executed. But I also must say that I may not see the big picture here, so you should take this opinion with a grain of salt. All in all, my overall experience with the company has been very positive, and the good things overtake the bad ones by a landslide. I will always have a good memory of this company, as I have said, it's the best company I have ever worked for.
