Pros

Amazing health, dental, and vision benefits. Free Lunches. Genuinely caring individuals who want you to succeed.

Cons

Management is just terrible. Many people are sighting the CEO as the main perpetrator of having his hands in too many pots, but due to high turn over, this is true of many of the senior/managerial staff. Senior staff is constantly forced to take on work from other departments and end up spreading themselves too thin. However, no one will say that this is an issue. It's simply expected. This "Spreading thin" of senior, high-level, and managerial staff cause problems for those underneath, myself included. For months straight (at one point 4 months straight) I would have one-on-ones canceled due to my manager simply not having the time in their schedule, then they were no longer my manager, but were still in charge of my placement at the company. So, in short, a manager who didn't have time for me in the first place switched his role to not be my manager but was still in control of my future. Perfect. There is a genuine sense that people want others to do well and succeed, but don't expect even a guiding hand; no one has time for it. Oh and don't expect management to be understanding to this. They clearly care more about looking the part of a Silicon Valley company than about how the work gets done.

Pros

AWeber is a great company to work for, and consistently has been for many years. While being at AWeber, you get to work with awesome technologies and serve really cool customers. The team dynamic at AWeber is top tier, and communication between team members is ever present. There is always information sharing, internal documentation to reference, and avenues to learn/stay in the know. This commitment to public facing communication allows team members to know what's upcoming, know what's expected of them, ask questions, posit suggestions/ideas, and appropriately prepare and plan. At AWeber, everyone has a voice, and their voice matters. Being at the company each day feels less like a job and more of an opportunity to accomplish something great.

Cons

At the company, we all actively work to make AWeber better for today, tomorrow, and the future. If you are someone who prefers to silo information and hide from your team, working at AWeber would likely not be a good fit for you.
