Pros

I was fortunate to work alongside talented and collaborative coworkers from multiple disciplines (PT, OT, ST, and mental health) and some wonderful families.

Cons

My overall experience with the company was disheartening to say the least. The leadership prioritizes image and revenue over employee well-being and satisfaction. Management frequently made accusations or decisions without first having a conversation with the therapists involved in difficult conversations with families. While staff are encouraged to raise concerns, doing so is often met with passive-aggressive responses or outright hostility. Communication is unprofessional and at times laced with microaggressions, creating an unsafe environment. The benefits were not truly accessible — they depended on reaching a monthly visit quota that I was never able to meet, despite being available full-time, completing make ups, and doing a number of evaluations. The expectation to overwork yourself leaves little to no time for documentation, and therapists are regularly asked to take on tasks far outside their job description, including handling insurance discussions with families and contacting physicians directly. I also do not recall a time where I did not have an abundance of documentation to complete over the weekend. Contact is also made with employees frequently after hours, during scheduled time off, and on weekends. There is a high rate of turnover (over a dozen staff members from office staff and all disciplines have left within the last ~7 months), which speaks volumes about the workplace culture. Promises to support staff or pay for training to "advance expertise" are often walked back in cost-cutting decisions or never actually offered, such as replacing paper towels with reusable hand towels (the kind you use in your home, not a medical office)— a particularly concerning move in a clinic treating immunocompromised children. Growth opportunities are nonexistent, and feedback — whether during regular conversations or following resignation — is poorly received. The leadership’s approach is reactive rather than supportive, and unfortunately, there are serious concerns regarding bias and professionalism at the highest level of the organization.

Pros

Great team of therapists in clinic

Cons

Unprofessional leadership with disorganized, confusing, and lack of communication and support. No clear expectations and passive aggressive leadership style, continued pushback of benefits due to inability to meet units outside of my control (holidays, weather, sickness). No HR or oversight for management which makes it difficult for them to be held to a certain standard and allow employees to have a professional avenue to address workplace concerns without fear of backlash or retaliation.
