Pros
Met some wonderful people with good intentions, most of which did not or will not stick around. Anyone with genuine intentions or a voice ends up leaving or getting pushed out.
Cons
Ineffective Senior Leadership with issues starting from the top, the CEO. CEO, COO and General Managers all protect each other and hide their mistakes. The company is losing money left right and centre with those in charge unwilling to listen to ideas and solutions to the problems that most often everyone could forsee except for those making the decisions. Inability for those who make the decisions to take accountability and they instead find a scapegoat and push anyone with a voice out to hide their incompetence. If you're not a yes person, say goodbye to your career here. They don't want people with a voice, they want people who fall in line and don't question them. There's a hierarchy and they want that followed without question, despite claiming they want to hear from staff. There are some good people at this company, some of which are in positions of power however there is only so much they can do when the CEO themselves is a large part of the problem. Unfortunately the most incompetent managers who fall in line get promoted and those who have dared to speak out face backlash. There have been many incredible Managers and front line staff who have gone on to do bigger and better things despite Ability Options not seeing their potential. Decisions made do not consider the participants, it's all about money and making money at all costs, a direction from those in charge. If participants have behaviours of concern or are not seen to be easy enough to work with, managers and above don't want them because it's too hard for them. A horrible and dangerous mindset. The pay is atrocious with front line staff not even being paid the minimum award wage. Experience is never taken in to consideration. You could have 10 years experience and they would still offer you the starting salary.
