Pros

A good supervisor who looked out for officers. discount on meals

Cons

LOW PAY. they give us .20 cents raises, not even close to cost of living increase. "2% thats the standard" Leadership within the hospital dont show any care for the security team nurses and other medical staff fighting and ignoring patients who need assistance at times. lack of care for safety by not providing us with anything to protect ourselves. Camera never work right or there is a delay in video

Pros

Great CNO and leaders, positive culture, good flexibility,

Cons

I don't have any that are related to the hospital itself. Being an RN has challenges but the heart hospital is a great place to work.

Pros

Physicians and advanced practice providers are collaborative and supportive. They consistently make an effort to assist nursing staff and contribute positively to patient care.

Cons

Current staffing ratios are not aligned with pt acuity, and there is limited ancillary support available. This creates challenges in delivering safe and timely care. There has been noticeable staff turnover, likely related to workload and safety concerns. At times, I feel that the demands of the role place my nursing license at risk due to the inability to consistently complete thorough assessments, timely interventions, and appropriate documentation. Additionally, expectations such as remaining on one's feet for the entirety of a 12-hour shift and difficulty obtaining uninterrupted meal breaks contribute to overall job strain. There have also been concerns regarding meal break deductions, as breaks are automatically removed from paychecks despite not always being taken, and follow-up through payroll has not consistently resolved these discrepancies.
