Pros

I took this position for the pay- 13.50/hour. Otherwise we had a free Subway lunch once...

Cons

The requirements for the different reports that needed to be done (15+ types) changed nearly daily. Emails were sent constantly. I was out sick one day and when I came back, I got a warning because I missed an email that described a new way to do a certain type of report and I was doing them the "old" way- that had been accurate the day before. Overtime was required, not optional. Many employees seemed nice but there was never an opportunity to talk to them. We were actively discouraged from eating lunch together. They made us clock in and out when going to the bathroom. Management reveled in firing people and then stealing stuff from their desks- wouldn't let former employees go get their stuff. Witnessed, so when I was fired I made a list of things from my desk to be returned to me and received everything back. Fired/"Laid off" over the phone on a Saturday morning- effective immediately. No accrued Paid Time Off was paid out. Laid off was said while being terminated but I believe lay offs shouldn't happen at the same time they're hiring new people, so I'm not sure if I was laid off or fired. Would not provide a job description for the position I held. Would not provide a reference while job searching afterwards. They said it would be a thirty day trial period and at the end of the period a contract would be signed. Thirty days passed and no word of a contract was said. My manager said to contact HR, but would not provide any information on who made up the HR department.

Pros

Good benefits, flexible with scheduling, all management having an open door policy, really involved with making sure morale is up.

Cons

The pay is bi-weekly, but other than that a good company

Pros

Decent pay and a TON of overtime.

Cons

Overtime is mandatory and it is all the time (60+ hours a week). If you have a family or any kind of social life this is not the job for you! If you don't ask them how high when they say jump you WILL lose your job. No matter what you do it is not good enough. There will be employee meetings about how they will just outsource your position if your team can't step it up (when you are already doing inhuman amounts of work and staying overnight). Then there will be the employee meetings where they lie straight faced to you and say everyone is trying so hard, good work, we won't fire anyone if they're always trying their best (lies, lies, and more lies!). Management always wants more production from you, even if you are trying your hardest and staying every time they ask. If you can't meet your numbers because they set the bar at an unreasonable amount don't speak up, that's grounds for termination too! This is a small company that has only been in business for a few years so employees are just stepping stones to them, as soon as they find someone who can type faster or get one more file done than you you're out the door. Their turnover rate is very high! I have never felt so under appreciated anywhere else I have ever worked! If you need the money that bad my only words of advice are GOOD LUCK and KEEP YOUR RESUME UPDATED!
