Get to see rare primary source content! Feels good to support archives, institutions, and academics. Facilities Team are wonderful; socials, parties, perks like office massages, volunteering days, financial webinars. Strong hybrid working policy.
Cons
Career progression for EAs is unclear and not as quick as suggested in interviews; approx 3 years to reach AE level. Constant editorial dept restructuring and now redundancies. Repetitive spreadsheet work, copying/pasting catalogue data, admin, use of AI. All creative thinking, archive visits, and travel have been removed from latest job description. Office difficult to reach via public transport. Not diverse. Salaries are low and bonuses not paid out. Company is not currently reaching sale targets.
