Pros
AMP is amazing at creating a culture and environment where people feel heard and respected. There are a lot of physician recruiting companies out there these days...but they are NOT created equal. Being able to work for a company where you believe in the product you're selling, as well as the leadership, is a rare but attainable dynamic. I felt pride in my work at Adaptive and that we were servicing our Clients and their small communities to the best of our ability. It's very rewarding to know you are making a difference and improving community by recruiting a new doctor to their small hospital. I really enjoyed my time with Adaptive and would certainly recommend them to anyone interested in Sales. If I were staying in the industry, I would have stayed at Adaptive.
Cons
Truthfully, not many 'cons' come to mind. The job itself is high-pressure Sales, so some people just aren't cut out for Talent Acquisition. If you can weather the highs and lows that accompany any sales position really....then you can have a lucrative and rewarding career helping healthcare organizations find and recruit good doctors. Furthermore, if you can find your rhythm at recruiting, selling other products and services comes easy.
