Pros

There are no pros as an Adara employee

Cons

Where to start: - You are being surveilled. There are camera's video and audio recording your every move. The phone calls are being recorded and scored. There is no privacy when working at your desk. - The health benefit package is TERRIBLE and offers little to no coverage at all. And you cannot use your health insurance before 60 days of employment. - My pay was extremely low. - 6 day work week. They provided a less than two week notice that employees were to work on Sundays, so expect to have no work life balance. - I was always pressured to be on site by the Property Manager when I called in sick. - After working 6 months, there is no PTO or sick days to use. - Your regional manager pressures and sets extremely unrealistic expectations for you to lease apartments that are horribly infested with roaches. Upper management is unappreciative of any achievements or efforts made. They only complain and criticize. -They want to perform marketing drops to local businesses and do not reimburse you for travel or gas. -They want you to communicate to residents and prospects through 5 different platforms. -Prospective tenant's sensitive information is NEVER redacted for their safety. Their ID and Social Security Cards were uploaded to the system Yotta without being redacted and they would be printed out to lay freely throughout the office. Adara is a hacker or an Identity Thief's DREAM COME TRUE. Basically, Adara Communities does not care about their employees or their residents. If I could give zero stars, I would. One star is too generous for this joke of a company. I would never recommend anyone to work for Adara Communites or to live at their properties.

Pros

I like working with Adara because they don’t constantly buy and sell properties, they hold onto them long term. It creates more stability for both the team and the residents. It also shows they care about building and improving their communities over time, not just making decisions for short term gain.

Cons

The downsides of working with Adara are that the company feels very old fashioned and cost focused. Compared to other companies I’ve worked for, they tend to be behind the times and reluctant to invest in resources or improvements. For example, leasing agents are expected to clean apartments, not a touch up, but clean, which takes away from our primary role of being in the office and leasing. There’s also a strong sense of micromanagement. There are cameras throughout the office, and it often feels like employees are being closely watched, which creates a tense environment where it’s hard to feel comfortable or natural at work. The culture is very strict and not laid back. Benefits are limited, and overall it doesn’t feel very employee focused. On top of that, basic things like maintaining comfortable temperatures in the office and show units aren’t always prioritized, which can make the work environment challenging, especially going into the summer. Additionally, communication can be difficult at the management level. Feedback isn’t always well received, and it can feel like concerns or suggestions create tension rather than open discussion, which makes the work environment uncomfortable at times.
