Pros
- Flexibility in remote work - Nice coworkers and interesting clients and challenges to work on - Mission and purpose - Everyone wears a lot of hats (if you like variety of job duties)
Cons
- Swung hard from a generative, creative, empowered org 2-3 years ago to all sorts of one-sided authoritarian decisions since the merger - A select few people call the shots and can overwrite anyone's input - Lack of psych safety, real listening, or open dialogue about issues - A lot of propping up leadership as a means of advancement and "imagine the amazing future" but the reality doesn't reflect that - Little to no pay adjustments over years despite contributions - Challenges working with teammates in decision-making roles who are part time or constantly on vacation - Platform has promise but is super buggy and requires much troubleshooting on the back end and invisible work that is not valued
