Pros
Great coworkers who were creative and knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get along with. Decent sized facility with good parking. Lot of opportunity to learn new things.
Cons
Poor leadership and inadequate direction in how to proceed when development is not proceeding as expected. Emphasis on repetition of failing assays versus characterization and understanding why things aren't working. Lack of equipment. Strict adherence to a rigid corporate timeline for development that stymies research and proper assay development, leading to rushing crap assays through the gate. Language barriers inhibiting proper training on certain equipment. Lack of interdepartmental collaboration and communication leading to information siloing and sometimes leading to unnecessary work.
