Pros

There is a reason AMSG keeps getting such high ratings on "Best Places to Work." The culture that has been created is truly unique. The company cares about its people and it shows. Whether it is gift baskets when someone experiences tough times at home, or bonuses for a job well done, or excellent benefits (including $ for hobbies), this is a different type of company. Happy employees means higher retention. That means less turnover for the client. That means better continuity and mission execution for the client. And that means happier clients. Win/Win/Win.

Cons

I really don't have anything bad to say about them.

Pros

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) - I hope I can work at AMSG for the rest of my career! I've worked at other government contracting companies that SAY they have core values, but AMSG really practices them. AMSG talks about its "6 Cs" of Competence, Courage, Compassion, Character, Communication, and Community. I SEE the Leadership Team doing the 6 Cs. When someone on my team's parent was ill, AMSG Leadership stepped up. When I was sick, they sent me a Spoonful of Comfort box full of delicious soup, rolls, and cookies - and an awesome ladle I still use! For several years, the company has been pushing Training and Development - sending a group of people to the Adobe Conference in Los Angeles and the APQC conference in Texas - and paying for Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications and Lean Six Sigma Black belt training too. 100% of costs paid. And how about $10,000 per year toward college! The company has a Global Impact Program that sends teams of AMSG personnel to places like Kenya and Honduras and others to build schools and volunteer in orphanages and then go on some R&R as part of the trip. When DOGE canceled an AMSG contract recently, the CEO talked about it with the company at his monthly "Java with Jim" Teams Call. No running and hiding from the current contract terminations that DOGE is doing. The Leadership seems to approach things HEAD ON. This is the best government contractor I've worked at in over 15 years in this industry.

Cons

None to report. Amazing company!
