Pros
laid back on hours and you can wear whatever you want
Cons
Now this is a job for a special kind of person. If you are a person who doesn’t know really much of anything, and cant think for yourself, what a perfect match! Apply now! If you are a mindless drone, this is perfect for you. If you are incapable of intelligent thoughts or producing those thoughts as words through your mouth, PERFECT! If you are not skilled in anything whatsoever, have not gone to college, no plans to go to college, do not qualify for college, or aren’t sure what college is, apply now! If you like to sit around and talk about useless information for hours at a time, while having a giant to-do list, and getting none of it done, well that’s basically a daily meeting at this job.. Oh then be ready to be answer why you have no work done. It’s truly amazing how this company runs. To the outside world, it is really impressive. To the inside world, it’s probably comparable to the ACTUAL inside of the world. Towards the center of the core of the earth where the pressure just keeps getting harder and harder and hotter until you either break from pressure or morph into some mindless reptile where that much stress and conflict is normal. My position was in the art department, which is the safest place in the company. The amount of work put on one person back there though, is an unrealistic and outstanding amount. The jobs are non-stop and overloading. According to the owner though “the art dept is overstaffed”. So don’t plan on anyone helping you. You either swim the Nile back and forth for months or you will be scolded for drowning and then blamed for your own death. The company has some good though, if you have kids or need a semi flexible schedule, it’s good for that, I will admit. Every quarter there is a company lunch, in which the same terrible Mexican food is served. Don’t eat it. Bad life choice there. After food and a lecture from the owner, most likely on politics and him telling you how to raise your kids (“you’re a terrible parent if…”) there is a raffle and gifts and cake. The cake is nice. The free stuff is nice. There is no more nice. There is no HR department. No coffee. No “thank you’s”, or “please’s” or “good job’s”. It is only “why did you mess up!” “Why isn’t this done!”. Some employees are very nice and very helpful. Out of 150ish employees, I would say about 15.5 are educated and know what they are doing. (The owner is that half percent- He has his moments both ways). The rest of them will blame you for their mistakes and truly not understand that THEY were the cause of the mess-up. The people who in charge are in charge, not because they are qualified, but because they have been working there for 20+ years and well that’s a good enough reason for them. So basically, my advice is don’t work here, unless you match any of the qualifications listed above.
