Pros

The senior leadership genuinely cares about each employee, and understands that if their employees are appreciated and enabled to do their job, the customers will be the beneficiaries as well! We all have the opportunity to learn about each division of the company and build relationships with our peers and managers. Not just beneficial business networking relationships, but "how is your family?... Is there anything we can do to help?...". I have real friendships in this organization that I would not trade for anything. We are a work from home organization. Excellent Benefits, competitive pay and generous PTO. In our sales division we pay commissions next business day! You read that right. Realistic goals are set and when you hit them, they are not annually readjusted above realistic outcomes. Each business division is appreciated and celebrated for their impact on the business. The company goes out of its way to host Zoom and in person meetings to bolster team building, and foster the friendships I mentioned earlier.

Cons

No one ever leaves, so you will have to wait for new positions to be created as we continue to grow. If you have never had the opportunity to work in corporate America prior to coming here, you won't understand just how amazing this place is. I have worked at Mom and Pop shops where I was treated like family and at international corporations where I was a cog in the machine. Advocate Capital truly brings the best of everything I have experience and hoped for from an employer over the past 23 yeas of my professional career with out all the nonsense that makes every other sales organization I have previously been associated with the kind of place I swore to never work at again. I guess the biggest con is that it took me so long to land here. :)

Pros

Senior leadership at Advocate Capital truly care about every employee's experience with the company. I have witnessed them go to great lengths to implement employee feedback, are constantly improving the employee experience and genuinely wants to be the best place our employees have ever worked. Leadership CARES - and that caring is what guides the culture. Further, the entire Firm is mission focused on delivering seamless and exemplary service to all valued clients - all departments - accounting, finance, underwriting, marketing, client management and sales - all are focused on one mission - to help our clients get even better results for our clients. There are no perfect companies - however, Advocate Capital is about as close to perfect any company could hope to get.

Cons

The company is smaller in size, so naturally career advancement will require patience. That said, the Firm will always look within to fill vacancies before looking to the outside.

Oppressive culture, CEO refused to listen to ideas, comes from a credit background with no vision for growth. Limited opportunities for advancement. Felt like I was boxed in.
