Pros
I can only comment about the teams I had the opportunity to work with, not the entire business. On that premise: - I felt people were always keen to help no matter how busy they were - Very flexible team, was able to prioritise my work without being micromanaged - Team was always keen to listen/try new ideas - Ability to work from home - Team was really strong and teamwork was done right - Competent people are not rare - Management keen to listen to the experts (again not sure that's the case across the business)
Cons
Wincor (mother company). Most of the points that follow are a Wincor side effect: - Slow processes, especially when it comes to hiring - Awful monitors (for most people) - Awful laptops (not so much the hardware, but everything OS/App related was awful) - Old-fashioned company structure with bands and what not - Not very competitive salaries - Communication needs improvement sometimes (we are not living in the 90's... Everyone should get involved in designing/implementing a technical solution as early as possible and this is not necessarily a comment only for the management teams) - Even though the company moves as far away as possible from the old-fashioned Wincor culture, I felt this is not done quickly enough (even though I understand this is quite a task!) - People should realise that sprints is not Agile! On the way to Agile maybe...
