Pros

I started at Affecto in the midst of the pandemic, but luckily I had a strong team supporting me for not only my job performance but more importantly my mental health. Recruitment is a completely new industry for me but the team have made learning the ropes interesting and easy. These guys are pros at what they do and I am fortunate to be a member of this close team that gives me the space to grow within the organisation as well as keeping my work life balance.

Cons

After 6 months I haven't found a reason not to enjoy working for Affecto.

Pros

Truly specialist business that understand the IT market in great depth. Small but thoroughly engaged team who are trusted to get on and do the job without micro managing. Recruiters set their own targets which are based on metrics that positively impact your performance. No granular KPIs or unachievable goals. Growth of the business has been organic and not rushed like most recruitment businesses. The management are considerate of the marketplace we recruit in and approach candidate and client activities in an appropriate way. For a small business, we have an enviable portfolio of projects working with some of Sheffield's largest technology businesses, often outperforming businesses many times our size. Good reputation in the marketplace, especially within Sheffield where we form part of the wider tech community. This is very motivational for employees and forms the basis of how we approach business. Flexible and understanding management team, incredibly supportive at all levels especially with HR and employee engagement - approachable and professional they will do everything they can to help people achieve their full potential.

Cons

Staff turnover is commonly high in the recruitment industry and it at times it has been at Affecto. Growth of the business has been restricted slightly by this, but management are firm in sticking to their core values and maintaining stability through any internal structural changes.

Pros

I cannot fault the interview process for the role of Delivery Consultant at Affecto. I was invited for an informal chat with Daniel and Craig which I really enjoyed. I learned about the company and had any questions, however small, answered. Equally, I was asked about myself and what was important to me in a role. It was clear that Daniel and Craig really cared about what I had to say and that they were recruiting the right person that fit with the team they have already built at Affecto. I was immediately offered a second interview which eliminated waiting around for a decision. I was also asked to put together a presentation and details of this were given in plenty of time for me to prepare. Having the informal chat first was a brilliant idea as all nerves for the formal interview were calmed which allowed me to be myself throughout. The whole process was a positive experience and all of the team at Affecto have been amazing, from my first chat, right through to me starting my new role!

Cons

I have not experienced any negatives.
