I've been with Agera just a few months now and can positively say that the guidance and support from my RD, SVP and EVP has been instrumental in my early success. I've worked with some great leaders and these are among the best. Though this is a remote role, weekly National calls keep everyone on the same page as well as bring a positive team vibe. We share team/individual successes, collaborate on strategy, discuss industry issues and more. My RD and SVP are extremely responsive when I have questions or need guidance (even though they are supporting the entire team). Their management style suits me well and is more of a coaching/mentoring approach rather than ‘hand holding’ or micromanaging. As a company, Agera is easy to stand behind. We were awarded the ‘Better Business Bureau Complaint Free Award’ for 2017 for superior performance in the area of ethical business practices as well as our commitment to total customer satisfaction. And we offer a great selection of products, the best in the business, giving us the ability to tailor energy plans for an organization and their specific needs- no one size fits all approach here!
Cons
It's a remote role, so communication with the team and leadership is essential. If you’re not great with communication you’ll sink fast. This is one of the most challenging jobs I've had, but to me that's what makes it so rewarding. It's nonstop all day, everyday. I'm always busy (which I love) and the days and weeks fly by, but it’s all about a high level of activity- New outreach, follow ups, networking events...what you put in to it you will get out. If you aren't a self motivated and/or organized person you will probably find this role to be very overwhelming- if not impossible.
