Pros
I thought it was a cool product and I enjoyed the industry.
I was able to try different responsibilities/tasks if I asked or showed an interest. I liked that I had some freedom to explore things.
I felt like they did a decent amount of internally filling positions so you had opportunities to move up or change departments if you wanted.
Some amazing people!
Cons
I had an excellent manager, but other managers were very difficult to work for. There didn’t seem to be consistent expectations for management so your experience could vary a lot depending who you worked for.
They promoted a close knit family-type culture, but I found it mostly insincere. Seemed like I saw a lot of favoritism. Some people received a lot more chances than others.
Health benefits were not great - high deductible plan meant a lot of people avoided going to the doctor or didn’t fill prescriptions they needed because of the cost. They did pay a portion of the deductible when I was there, but it was still an issue for many people.
Pay seemed slightly below average to me.
