Pros
You get to meet alot of interesting people from around the world and they really do not care if you come to work or not. i did not go to work for about 2 weeks straight without calling in or anything and they did not say anything to me at all.
Cons
They do not pay enough for the hard work that we do. You would think pushing people in wheelchairs all day would be a simple job but, it's not. You have heavy passengers that you have to push up the steep jet ways from the airplane, a WHOLE lot of walking and going out of your way to please passengers and 9 times out of 10 they wont tip you. The managers, supervisors, etc all try to act like they are better than us when they get paid 7.25 just like we do. They just have a different title. The Delta agents talk down on you as if the wheelchair you push defines your intelligence. They ALWAYS mess up people's paychecks. If you are desperate for work i would recommend Air Serv, They literally hire anybody. Most of the people I work with had the same story. They just asked if they were hiring and they told them to come to orientation. No proof of GED or HSD or anything. But I wouldn't recommend it for long term employment.
