Pros
As a PM contractor, I have some control over my workload - when offered potential projects I can choose to decline or accept. The company provides a lot of structure in terms of how to engage with clients and deliver on projects which helps streamline the process and create consistency. Also, the team is very collaborative and supportive!
Cons
While you can limit the number of projects you take on, sometimes you will not receive as many project opportunities as you want. This is an important consideration if you are looking for a steady income. It's a very execution focused role, and will not provide the same challenges of a more traditional product role (cross-team collaboration, defining a product strategy, etc.)
