Pros
Worked with Aite group as a contractor/vendor on and off since the 2007 timeframe, and most recently for four years. Great company to do business with, and they place a lot of trust in the people that work with them. Office in Boston is an excellent location downtown, and the company has meetings every year, some in locations like Miami. As a vendor, I was invited to the Miami meeting to speak, paid for by the company. Partners are diverse in background, and approach to handling each part of the business. Good people to work with, very friendly and understanding of different points of view. Overall Aite gives you the freedom, understanding, and leeway to get to a successful outcome. You don't feel like they are interrogating, doubting, or otherwise being a helicopter client about the work you are being asked to do. I've made many mistakes, and errors in my work. They keep the trust with the understanding that honesty is the best policy. Not a "what have you done for me lately?" kind of client.
Cons
Very similar to any company, only Aite Group has a large population of remote users. Some travel frequently, and others stay around the home area. The culture creates its dynamic of personalities and varying levels of communication skills. The only negatives I had experienced involved a single person. If somebody was under a lot of pressure, stressed, or otherwise having a hard time in one place, it tends to come out in various ways at work. I don't blame or judge the company for that type of issue. They can't monitor people's emotional states 24x7. Things happen, and people get upset. I think the company has handled those situations well and been very fair to people.
