Before I accepted the job, I was advised in writing that no contracts are given to staff and that staff have no rights for two years so it was agreed in writing before I joined that my notice period would be one month . Despite this I was dismissed and paid only paid one week's notice and when I took this to an employment tribunal the senior "director" told me " to do my worst." If you are a sales designer be warned that you will be competing with the junior director who has first pick of all the leads. 12 months probation for all staff No training given Written and verbal guarantees are worthless as you have no unfair dismissal rights in law until you have been employed for two years Company's does not follow its own grievance or disciplinary procedures Contradictory instructions between the senior "director" and his son the junior director. Company trades under names of arena kitchens , alaris london, alaris aberdeen and various other dormant companies and the senior director is not listed as a director at companies house. No job security - I was dismissed for non performance despite bettering the junior director's figures and having a 20 year plus track record of success in this industry. 3 women and 1 man dismissed in last 6 months the 5 months I worked there - including the person who wrote the last review!
