Pros
Some of the co-workers were friendly.
Alba had a casual dress code.
Jeans, shorts, sandals, flip-flops, and t-shirts were permitted at all times.
There's a cafeteria located inside of the building.
Cons
I don't know where to begin. Most employees feared that termination was imminent. This led to a remarkably high attrition rate. Many employees were looking for jobs elsewhere because job security was nonexistent.
Upon termination, a member of senior management would take you to the conference room and ask for your security badges. Meanwhile, another manager would collect your belongings and take them to you. The same was true about those who gave a two-weeks notice. They would not permit you to stay; rather, they would let you leave upon receipt of the resignation letter.
There were vending machines located at the lower level of the building. Employees were not permitted to get items from a vending machine while on the clock. What's more, the management team sent out a company-wide email which provided in unequivocal terms that employees are given only one- 30 minute break per workday. Clocking-out to get a soda or snack was prohibited.
The firm is losing money and clients at an exponential rate. This caused a 'massive' layoff in February 2015.
Most managers are either related to or are friends with one of the senior partners. To put it bluntly, it's not what you know, but who you know.
