Pros
Employees fun to be around and mesh well. No petty politics due to relative small size. Snacks and drinks provided. Very comprehensive interview process tends to lead to better hires. Intense learning experience never gets boring.
Cons
Dramatic cutbacks recently. Loyal employees that have been around for years being told to take insulting demotions or leave. Current employees all told to acquire certain certifications on their own time in the next few months or lose your job. Don't plan on making a long-term career plans as you will be cut if mgmt thinks the salary they set for you is too high. At last company party CEO said he wanted to "make Aldridge great again" and we're now seeing what that means. The top management is a small group of friends/spouses/exes that are untouchables, but everyone else is expendable. Untouchables are held to different standards than others and only get promotions/lateral moves. If most were given the current interview process for their current job they would be found shockingly unqualified. Churn-based company. Companies acquired by Aldridge will be gutted for their richest clients and top of the top techs. Taking on regular lumps of unknown clients puts strain on support for them and existing clients, so client turnover is very high. Techs told there is a quarterly bonus available, but it has nothing to do with individual employee performance, dedication, or efficiency. As a result it's often not paid out. Frequent extreme changes, often without warning.
