Pros
If you’re looking for a place where you can have a real impact, be heard, gain opportunities to advance upwards or to try new things - Vision Critical is a great place to be. Prove yourself, and you won’t have to wait long to be recognized and promoted. Work-life balance is pretty good, and there are plenty of remote work options. There has been a focus on bringing in strong players to help the company complete its shift from services to true SaaS - and the openness to remote employees has greatly improved the quality of the hiring pool. I’ve never seen an executive team more transparent or accessible to every employee.
Cons
For a small company, there are more silos than you’d expect - which can hamper collaboration for projects where many teams need to be involved. The newer people seem to do a better job of assuming a lack of barriers and pushing ahead than some of the team members who grew up within the company. If you look at some of the reviews, you can see that some people miss the startup culture now that the company has become more professional.
