- Traumatized doesn’t begin to cover it . The gaslighting, the bullying, the harassment of all varieties, lack of boundaries/work-life balance destroyed - Politics, politics, politics. If you can smile and say “yes”, you can get far but “pucker up” if you know what I mean - ALL these positive, recent reviews have 1 thing in common: full time employees tenured less than a year. Coincidence? - Pay in general is below industry avg - No layoffs during Covid was a curse cause “be happy you have a job” was used against many of us - You’re expected to be accessible 24/7 - Someone else touched on it but MAJOR disconnect between management and workers. YUGE. - Interdepartmental strategy? I don’t know her - Watch your back and the company you keep, it can and will be used against you - Unless you’re in Sales, be prepared to be treated as a second class citizen - Anticipate wearing a lot of hats if you are competent, if you’re smart and establish that you live by the values of agility and accountability, congratulations you played yourself. Celebrate with a ton of work and no recognition or appreciation - HR is a joke - Harassment is real but see above bullet, HR is NOT your ally - Promises to promote from within are largely unfulfilled so theyre hemorrhaging talent - Dont expect anyone to “celebrate” your next chapter if you leave.
