Pros

I work remotely for All Care Plus. I have been with the company for over a year now. The people I work with are a great group of people. They are supportive and helpful to everyone on the team, not just their own team. The culture is hard to gauge since I am not in the office on a daily basis. They do try to include me in the appreciation days they have but it's hard to do being remote. They are very flexible with schedules which helps with having a family. The salary is fairly competitive so I am appreciative of that as well.

Cons

1. Not having been to the office for training upon hire to meet the management team in person and see who we work for is something that should be done. In order for us to appreciate who we work for I think it's important that we see it and experience it just once. 2. Management needs to have better communication. There are times when upper management makes a decision and the second level managers aren't aware or included so it doesn't get passed down to the rest of the team as it should be. 3. Helping remote employees feel better included in special events would be nice. When emails are sent out to the whole company regarding pot lucks or special events in the office, it makes a remote employee not feel so included. Even in the little things. We are all part of a big team. Instances like this make it feel like two different teams and the management team plays favorites.

Pros

The work was easy. They have a few different titles for it now but a Care Manager/Reimbursement Specialist/Claims Processor are all inbound call positions. Back-to-back inbound call positions. But the work was easy.

Cons

I held a contract position with a constant promise of full-time employment. The contract was supposed to be for 3 months then my performance would be evaluated to determine if I met the requirement for a full-time employee. I consistently exceeded every performance review and was told I would be brought on. That never happened. I started in 07/2022, after 3 months I did notice some of my hiring class where no longer online. Then another 3 months went by, and I was told to standby and keep coming to work they will handle the transition from contract to full-time in the background. But again nothing ever happened. This went on until 05/2023 and they let me go. They told me my contract had expired as a lot of other people and they will be sending me a return shipping box. I was so confused because I had turned down actual full-time positions from other companies with the promise of full-time employment with them. I went unemployed for 3 months but when I started working again they called me asking if I would be available to come back, I said yes. Started back 09/2023 and quit 12/2023. It's not right how these companies dangle full-time employment and benefits over contract employees. The employee is expected to keep their word, these companies should too. Now I know with a contract position there are a lot of moving parts but if there was no guarantee of full-time employment, then why offer it? Morally and ethically it's just not right and I would not go back to work for this company full-time or otherwise. Also, because I was contract there was no PTO, no benefits and no opportunity to move up. I did not like this at all.
