Pros
None. No benefits, no job security, no chance for advancement, the pay rate is too low. I say the only thing good about day laboring is the chance to talk to the employer that day and try to become a permanent employee with them but, if not mistaken, there's a restrictive time period for which they're not able to hire you.
Cons
Have to be there every morning at 5 am to wait and see if you're able to go out to a job and work. Most of the time you have to sit there till 11 am and if you're not out on a job by then, you're beat. I'ts possible to waste a morning's worth of time in a day to be able to work. That's temp work for ya.
