Pros

Local, does not involve commute to London.

Cons

Where to start... Weak management that would rather allow a small amount of people do the majority of work. Happy to employ too many people and pay them low wages rather than paying less better quality people a decent wage. Nepotism is a big problem. Hard work goes unnoticed, people with the right friends and who's face fits get the better jobs. Technology changes and transformation since Allwyn took over has been pretty much a disaster. So many things were not thought about or anticipated before making drastic changes. This has resulted in new off the shelf technology being used that is not fit for purpose resulting in more and more manual work to cover for these issues. Probably the only thing delaying them from the redundancies they probably want to make long term.

Pros

Some good health benefits as they know they are going to stress you out with their incompetence.

Cons

Horrific place to work. Do not work here. I chose to leave despite consistently receiving positive feedback about my performance because the leadership was extremely disorganised, inconsistent and unprofessional. Expectations were constantly changing, priorities shifted without warning, and there was little accountability from management when mistakes were made. It created an environment where it was nearly impossible to succeed, regardless of how hard you worked. My direct manager presented himself as supportive and positive in public, but behind closed doors frequently spoke about employees in a disrespectful and demeaning way, describing people as incompetent or unintelligent. He was especially two-faced with his direct reports. That behaviour destroyed trust and created a toxic culture. Having been involved in executive-level discussions, I came away with the clear impression that employees were viewed as disposable rather than valued. High performers were not recognised or protected, and loyalty or good performance offered no security. This is not an organisation where talented people can do their best work or expect fair, competent leadership. Leaving was one of the best career decisions I've made, and I would strongly discourage anyone considering working here.
