At Aloware, we like to be thorough so we tend to have a lot of written up processes and procedures in place, and naturally, we want each employee to read and understand those processes. This is to make sure all employees are held to the same set of standards regardless of their title or position. Also, this helps the Operations team tremendously with keeping communication seamless and to avoid misunderstandings further down the road. Since we are a startup company, even our top management is very hands-on with the product and they are very much involved in building shiny new things for the growth of the business. :)
