Pros
This company has provided one of the most amazing rides of my career. I've worked at quite a few companies, but I've been impressed with the team here. They move fast and are not afraid of taking on audacious goals. Sales and Marketing have out-executed the competition and Alpine is positioned really high in credibility with Gartner and others. Engineering has delivered 3 releases last year, including innovation on Spark and with R...and the team is cooking up a pretty amazing pipeline in their roadmap.
The investors are super involved too. They often stop by company events and connect with each of us over drinks (pretty cool to get exposure to their work btw). Sure, there are tough patches at times but the caliber of customers we work with (large financials, telcos, manufacturing...) has been incredible.
Cons
It's a startup! You've got to have tolerance for ambiguity. You've got to be internally driven to win. If you're looking for a standard 9-5 job, this isn't the company. Everyone's got a lot on their plate and everyone drives hard. This isn't for everyone!
